He was a Coug too. Majored in Acting. And now, trying to make it big on Broadway. When it was his turn to sing he dedicated his song to "The beautiful Sisters in Zion from Utah!" He even continued, "If there's one thing I know about Mormons - they love them some Osmonds!" After his heartfelt rendition of "Puppy Love" he gave us our check with this little note:
"Remember: 10% of my profit - 100% of your prophet." I was dying. Needless to say, we left him a pretty good tip!
It was a fun place and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Times Square.
After dinner we stumbled apon a low-fat ice cream shop called Tasty D-lite. It was a yummy treat...and now we have noticed them all over the city. Kars had to be at work super early so she headed home to get some sleep. Nicole and I set out to meet up with our class group to see the King Tut Exhibit at the Discovery Museum. We forgot to check the address at work so we called to get directions. Long story short - we were told to go 44 St. between 2nd and 3rd. We walked at least a mile to find the group. Turns out, the museum is right in Times Square...bummer. We did get some exercise and oriented ourselves with that part of town. Eventually, we made it and walked through.
The exhibit had artifacts that were found in King Tut's tomb. It was neat to see some of the things I learned about in my History of Creativity class. King Tut died unexpectedly at the age of 19. At the end, we saw an exact replica of this body. A replica...I know, somewhat anticlimactic if you ask me! It was still pretty neat though. Nicole has more pics from the night...so I will post those ASAP.
We went with some Advertising kids to the Crocodile Lounge, a bar downtown. It was fun to chat with them on the subway and get to know them better. Sometimes, I feel we too often categorize ourselves in these groups according to our majors. It's too bad. I would love to get to know people better while we're out here. We got to the door and realized Nicole is 20, Jordan didn't have is driver's license, and Charlotte wasn't feeling good. Man, we know how to party in NYC. Wishful thinking, I guess. I decided to go back home with these three and catch some shut eye.
I found you!!!
